On Mars. Superenvejecimiento Activo / Brain freeze without ice cream

Seguro que estáis hartos de ver fotos en vuestro timeline, de On Mars en las últimas semanas.


Pues nosotros no podemos ser menos. Como buenos mecenas, nos ha llegado en enero después de habernos dejado los ahorros en la campaña de Kickstarter (empezando nuestro plan de pensiones). 

Para los que ya lo habéis jugado. Ya sabéis… un juego de esos fáciles, sencillos, y para toda la familia…


Y es que, con On Mars nuestras neuronas trabajan más que Christopher Nolan escribiendo el guion de Origen.
¡Qué barbaridad! ¡Esto no es ni medio normal! ¿Qué tipo de perturbación en la fuerza hay que sentir para crear este juego? Ni el mismísimo Palpatine puesto de petazetas es capaz de ingeniar algo ni remotamente parecido.
Dicho lo cual, el juego consiste en colonizar Marte (¡Novedad!). Mientras disfrutas de paseítos orbitales al más puro estilo @elonrmuskk .
Continuamente tendrás que subir a la órbita a por tecnologías y diseños, y bajar a la superficie de Marte para construir y recoger personal cualificado  como si aquello fuera el Draft de la NBA.
Pero cuidado, que si pierdes el bus (lanzadera) sin querer, te puede dar tiempo a reescribir ‪las dos‬ partes del Quijote esperando que vengan a recogerte.
Lo bueno es que una vez juegas 3 partidas te convalidan 1º y 2º de aeronáutica, y eso que te llevas.

Por cierto, no es un juego apto para personas con una sola neurona (esas que en el Carcassonne dijimos que ponen su pieza en todos los espacios libres hasta que encaja), porque podrían perderla ipso facto. Este juego es la definición física del Análisis Parálisis.

Dicho lo cual, nos ha encantado, y no hace más que subir el listón para los juegos que estén por venir.

We’re sure you’re tired of seeing posts through your timeline about On Mars these last weeks. Well, we are among those who have spent their savings in the Kickstarter campaign (we are starting a retirement plan based on board games). If you have already played you’ll already know it’s easy peasy lemon squeezy, right? A kids’ game! Playing On Mars our brain cells get to work more than Nolan’s ones when he was writing Inception’s script. O...M...G! What kind of disturbance in the Forze does someone have to feel to design this game? Not even Palpatine high on chalk powder could do it! What is it that you have for breakfast Mr @vitallacerda?

Having said all this, On Mars is a game about colonizing Mars (no kidding!) while you enjoy orbital promenades as if you were Elon Musk. You’ll have to travel to Mars’ orbit to gather technologies, building’s designs or materials and then go back to the planet’s surface to use them after hiring some qualified staff (it kind of looks like NBA’s draft, right?). Attention! You’ll have to be careful and don’t miss the bus, because you might end up writing all seven Harry Potter books while you wait for it to come back. If your looking for some good news here, we can assure you that after your third game you’ll have a PhD in Astrophysics. 

BTW, this game does not fit people who collapse searching where to place their Carcassonne tiles. It is the perfect example of what we call “Análisis Parálisis” or if you prefer, Brain Freeze Without Ice Cream. We absolutely love it. Kanban EV won’t arrive soon enough.
